In your opinion, how much time should we take to learn how to sit down, grab a cup of coffee, and share our lives through God’s Word?  Shouldnt this be what we teach and train all the time?  Wouldnt the result be local churches fired up for real kingdom ministry- life-on-life encounters with Jesus Christ?

  • Pastor Ron for God’s protection, wisdom, clarity, and discernment as he leads and ministers to the body of LCC
  • Invite the Lord to provide for our needs and open the floodgates of heaven on behalf of LCC
  • Are we willingly and cheerfully tithing and giving back to God our first fruits? (Malachi 3:6-10)
  • Strengthen our faith in what God can do and is already doing
  • Praise and thank God for His sovereignty, faithfulness, outpouring of His love and amazing grace on the body of LCC.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.  Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread.  Forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors.  Dear Heavenly Father, in Your amazing love for me, You gave Your only Son, Jesus, to take my punishment and through His shed blood paid the price on the cross for my sins.  Although a pardoned sinner, I am weak and in my sinful nature sin against You.  Again today, please forgive me Father for my transgressions.  As You forgave me, I ask for Your help and abundance of grace to forgive those who have offended or trespassed against me.  Restore in me a clean heart and help me to love my neighbor as myself.  In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen. Your Word says You know the things I have need of before I even ask and I am to therefore pray:  Our Father who art in heaven; You are all-wise, all-powerful, and all-loving and I thank you for choosing me, and for Your loving care.  Hallowed be Your name; You are Holy and all glory and majesty is Yours!  Your kingdom come; Father, help me to reflect Your love and proclaim the good news of Your kingdom so others may turn from the darkness to the light.  Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.  Father, help me to pray for all things in submission to Your will.  Now, to the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ!  Amen.  (Matthew 6:8-10; Romans 16:27)

Prayerfully consider this coming week:

*Is there any part of your life you may not have yet submitted to God?

*Ask God for His help to increase your faith and trust as you step out in beliving faith (Hebrews 12:1)

*Our youth/young adults and God’s anointing and leading in their lives

After much consideration and lengthy times of prayer, our PLT has decided to eliminate a position within our staff.   They have come to the conclusion to relieve Pastor Mark McClintick of his role on LCC staff effective May 31, 2010, and to reassign student ministries to Pastor Jeff Pankratz (who would then serve as Pastor of Student Ministries and Missions)

Other duties that our staff are currently giving leadership to, would be reassigned among other staff workers.  Essentially, Ron Berget and Melody Warren will be assigned roles within the Adult Ministry of our church family, and Jeff Pankratz will retain oversight of Missions ministry, including Student ministry as a key component of our local outreach in the Alexandria area.  KrisAnn Carlsen will continue to give direction to our Childrens Ministry Team, and Jon Gaugert (also chairman of our PLT) will continue giving leadership to our Worship and Arts Team.

LCC leadership has communicated this to Mark McClintick, and his position will be eliminated effective May 31, 2010.  Pastor Ron, and our Pastoral Leadership Team, will be hosting parent/student Q&A sessions in the weeks ahead for you to dialogue about these new challenges.   In addition, Pastor Ron welcomes you to speak with him anytime throughout the course of these next weeks, hoping to share their reasoning behind this decision.

Please be in prayer for Mark, Tammy, and their three children Megan, Josie, and Mason.  Pray for meaningful employment for Mark, and for the peace of His Holy Spirit to cover us all, especially our students and their families, during this difficult transition.  Pray that our student ministry would continue to ‘reach and build’ into the lives of high school and middle school students, as each new day brings us closer to our Lord Jesus’ coming.
