Following is the visitation and funeral information for Bob Ketelle:
Visitation – Monday, 5/21 from 5pm to 7pm at Hetland Funeral Home in Osakis.
Funeral – Tuesday, 5/22 at 11am at Lake Community Church, with a lunch to follow.
Alvin “Bud” Eggen (Randy’s father) passed away on May 9th.
Visitation will be held at Lake Community Church on Wednesday, May 16th at 10:00am with the memorial service starting at 11:00am. Luncheon at LCC to follow the service.
Spring is here!!!… Kind of anyway… for a day or two at a time at least.
Lots of activities coming up for May. You can always check out the bulletin or newsletter for more details but here are the highlights:
May 6th – Ministry Fair Sunday – take advantage of the opportunity to check out all of the different ministries LCC has to offer. Spend some time at the booths that interest you… see where you might find a place to serve or learn and grow!
May 9th – End of year bash for Kidz Zone at Casey’s amusement park. Registration forms due by May 2nd.
May 11th & 12th - Join us for the annual FCA & LCC Lakes Area Endurance Race. This is for runners or walkers of any skill level – we have a Family Fun Run and a 5k on Friday evening followed by a Baked Potato Meal. For all of you intense runners there is a Half Marathon Saturday morning. To register for any of the races go to www.active.com and under the search type in Lakes Area Endurance. We are still looking for lots of volunteers for the meal so if you can spare a couple hours Friday afternoon or evening please sign up at the Welcome Desk or call Michelle in the office.
May 20th – Last day of Sunday School - a special program will follow the worship service at 10:30 in the sanctuary.
May 23rd – Epic end of year party with grilling and games at Fillmore Park.
Good Friday Service – 5:30pm.
Easter Services – Join us on April 4th for the dramatic presentation of “Watch the Lamb” at 8am or 10am.
April 13th – join us at Cinema 9 for a showing of “October Baby”. Get your tickets at the Welcome Desk at LCC for a discounted cost of $5.50.
April 15th – join us in the Grace Cafe after the worship hour at 10:30am to hear about the Vision Trip that Melody and Nadalie took to India, hear about the human trafficking in that country and the various programs that are being established to help these people to get out of this pattern and become self-sufficient.
April 20th – Girls Just Wanna Have Fun – Join the women of LCC at 6:30pm for a fun night of “Movin’ & Groovin’ to Music” with line dancing and Zumba lessons, and of course food! (tasty fondue treats!)
Palm Sunday – Join us at 9:00am for our church service which will include singing performed by our 5 yr olds – 6th graders
Good Friday – Join us at 5:30pm on Good Friday, April 6th for a special Tenebrae Service
Easter Sunday – join us at either 8:00am or 10:00am for our “Watch the Lamb” drama. Invite your friends and family for this wonderful performance of the Easter Story.
There will be NO Children’s Church or Sunday School classes on Easter.
No Nursery care during the first service on Easter but the nursery will be staffed during the second service.
There will be NO Zone after school program today due to the weather.
Also NO Wednesday evening meal tonight OR Epic Student Ministry tonight.

If you would like to attend her viewing, two times will be tomorrow 4-8pm @ Andersons, and Fri 12pm @ LCC.
Join us on Sunday, February 12th from 1:00 to 3:00pm for our Grand Opening / Open House. Tour the new Christian education wing. We will have stations set up where you can help bag food for “Kids Against Hunger” (a new organization in Alexandria). At 2:00 we will have a special dedication ceremony. Please joins us!
Some of you may not know this but Aggie Elliot’s father passed away Saturday evening.
Funeral arrangements for Walter Bryce have been made and everything will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Motley MN. The visitation will be Thursday, January 26th from 5 – 7pm. Friday there will be a one hour visitation starting at 9:30am, with the funeral at 10:30am.
Epic youth “Ugly Sweater Party” has been cancelled for this evening (12/21) due to the weather. Stay home and stay safe! Merry Christmas to all. No Epic on 12/28 so join us again on 1/4 at YFC for our new year celebration.
The Advent season is upon us! With no snow on the ground it’s hard to believe Christmas is just 3 weeks away! Following is a list of December events and schedule changes:
Christmas Decorating: Join us Friday, December 2nd from 5-9pm to decorate the stage and church for the holiday. You don’t need to commit to the full 4 hours, any time you can give is appreciated!
Children’s Christmas Program: Join us Sunday, December 11th at 4pm for “Christmas Hope”. Cookies and beverages served following the program.
Women’s Holiday Event: Join us Monday, December 12th at 6:30pm at Arrowwood Resort for an evening of fun, good desserts, and special guest speaker Kathy Austvold.
Christmas Eve Service: Join us Saturday, December 24th at 5pm which includes a special visit from Heber the Sheperd and his sheep.
Christmas Day Service: Join us Sunday, December 25th at 9am to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Invite a friend!
BUILDING NEWS:
It’s almost ready!!! We hope to take occupancy by mid December which will give us a few weeks to move in and get the rooms ready.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony: Join us Sunday, January 8th. At the end of the service we will have a ribbon cutting ceremony with the kids as they use their classrooms for the first time!
Later in February we will have a dedication service for the new building.
